Music Maker Jam is a music app supported by normal Windows 8 PCs and also the Windows 8 ARM tablets. It is probably my best app on that OS platform – for now.

Great for amateurs and probably pros alike, it makes music creation a whole lot of fun. The app allows you to easily create audio tracks by putting together a variety of pre-recorded sequences played with instruments widely used in Jazz, Dubstep and Tech House music genres. You also have a choice of buying  many more styles in-App (e.g. Reggae, Berlin Minimal, Bossa Nova, Ambient, HipHop, Dubstep Vol.2, Reggaeton, Movie Score, Deep House, Flamenco Rumba). In no time at all, you’ll be producing your own hit tracks, thanks to a huge selection of professionally produced loops and styles. Simply combine the song parts and instruments to get the sound you want, then adjust the key and the tempo or add some spectacular effects in real-time.

On a compatible device, its intuitive touchscreen control puts the full studio experience in the palm of your hand. The sounds are perfectly synchronized to keep you on the beat when you’re jamming live in front of your friends and fans.

This app is not only a great concept, its execution is also unbelievable. To do this with new tools, on a new interface, on a new platform is mind blowing.
